What is Erasmus?

The Erasmus+ Programme is a European funding programme established in 1987. It offers university students a possibility of studying or doing an internship abroad in another country for a period of at least 2 months and maximum 12 months per cycle of studies.

Humaks Erasmus Policy statement (EPS):
In Humaks strategy for 2030 the aim is to be nationally and internationally strong actor in all our three study fields: Community development, communication and in culture.
In international activities Humak has been focusing creating partnerships with institutions which share the similar humanistic values and have a curricula or modules of curricula matching the Humak programmes curriculas. Human connections are the basis of Humak UAS’s core values which include the aims for society where the focus is on people and the communities´ needs..
The practical aim of the Humaks strategy and for the coming charter period is to create new joint degrees (B.A. and/or M.A) for some or all our study fields in addition for the existing M.A. joint degrees. The core activities for this are going to be done via Erasmus-programmes projects including curriculum development with our existing and new Erasmus partners. In the long run the aim is to strategic partnerships in form of European University.
Humak is also going increase the student mobilities (both incoming and outgoing flows) steadily each academic year with the aim of including mobility or virtual mobility into every student’s degree at the end of the programme period.

Who Can Apply?

Higher education students who have completed their first year of studying can apply to the Erasmus+ programme. There is no age limit.

Student Union HUMAKO

The Student Union of Humak University of Applied Sciences HUMAKO makes sure that your studies run smoothly. Any student studying at Humak can become a member of HUMAKO. As a member, you can become part of the student community and take advantage of communal and national student benefits.

HUMAKO supports you during your Erasmus+ studies and increases the community spirit between students. Tutors provide peer support and tips for studying or student life. You can meet other Humak students through HUMAKO’s online activities.
