Organisation
HUMAK was founded in 1998 and was granted a permanent status on 1 August 2000. The university is operated by a limited company, Suomen Humanistinen Ammattikorkeakoulu Oy. HUMAK is managed by the Board of Directors and the Rector.
The Rector heads the operation of the university and chairs the Board of Directors. The Rector is supported by a Management Team. Each degree programme is headed by a Programme Director, who is responsible for managing and developing the degree programme, and for planning activities in the degree programme for the following year together with lecturers. Administrative issues are handled by the Rector’s Office located in Helsinki.
