Student-tutoring
Tutoring means that an older student, tutor, helps the new students to get familiar with the new surroundings. Tutor makes the starting easy for the new students. Especially the first months are very important but the idea is that tutoring will continue whole study time. Student tutor has experience and knowledge about the things that are bothering new students and they are able to solve problems.
In the HUMAK University of Applied Sciences tutors arrange different happenings for the students. They create good atmosphere at the campus. Tutors also do marketing in different kind of events and second-ary schools.
There is 9 campuses in HUMAK and we have student tutors in every campus. There is one student tutor who organize tutoring in campus, student tutor in charge. There is also one lector in every campus who is in charge of tutoring.
Every tutor is a member of Student Union HUMAKO. Tutors represent the Student Union HUMAKO at campuses. HUMAKO is in charge of tutoring in HUMAK. The board member of HUMAKO coordinates tutoring at every campus.
