All students are responsible for costs related to:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Personal camping and hiking equipment, such as outdoor clothing, backpacks, eating utensils, sleeping bags or sleeping pads.
\n– Personal travel costs to and from campus, training locations, or locations for independent training.
\n– Accommodation (please see Learning Environments).<\/p>\n

Other costs of studying<\/b><\/p>\n

The studies require using a personal laptop. At Humak, students are entitled to substantial benefits in acquiring different software. The commonly used Office software are free of charge for students: students are able to download and install the Office365 software package on their computers.<\/p>\n

Students are allowed to borrow group equipment for independent training, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Tents, kayaks, and climbing equipment.
\n– Other equipment, such as first aid equipment.<\/p>\n

Expenses for EU\/EEA\/Swiss students<\/h2>\n

No tuition fee will be charged from students who are citizens of the EU\/EEA area and Switzerland. However, this group of students are recommended to budget approximately 800\u20ac \/ academic year for optional travel related to the studies. By this means the students will be able to guarantee that they will get the most out of their studies, allowing them to conduct their studies in all recommended learning environments.<\/p>\n

The three following learning environments and trips will be offered, and strongly recommended, even though the students participating in them will be charged a fee based on the travel costs. Students not willing to pay for the trips will be offered an alternative way of studying the contents. The tuition fee paid by students outside EU\/EEA\/Swiss area includes the costs for these trips.<\/p>\n

Multiday day winter camping and travelling, Pallas-Yll\u00e4stunturi National Park<\/p>\n

Multiday winter and glacier travelling, Narvik Mountain Range, Norway<\/p>\n

2nd<\/sup> year summer<\/p>\n

EU countries are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Gibraltar.<\/p>\n

EEA countries are: Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.<\/p>\n

Expenses for non-EU\/EEA\/Swiss students<\/h2>\n

Tuition fee of 14000 euros per academic year (in 2024 and onwards) is charged from students coming outside the EU\/EEA and Switzerland area. For more general information concerning tuition fees please see Studyinfo.fi website.<\/a><\/p>\n

The tuition fee will also cover the costs for the following learning environments and trips:<\/p>\n

Multiday sea kayaking trip, Eken\u00e4s Archipelago National Park<\/p>\n

Multiday day winter camping and travelling, Pallas-Yll\u00e4stunturi National Park<\/p>\n

Students must accept the student place in Studyinfo and pay the fee for the first academic year by 11 July 2024 at 15.00<\/strong>. Students cannot register for the autumn semester 2024 before the fee is paid in full and all necessary documents have been submitted to Admission Services.<\/p>\n
