Launch event: State of World Population Report 2026, at Valkea talo
Welcome to the national launch event of UNFPA’s State of World Population Report at Humak’s campus in Helsinki!
UNFPA (the UN sexual and reproductive health agency), the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Väestöliitto and Humak will host the national launch of The 2026 State of the World Population report on 25 November 2026 at 10:00 in Humak’s premises in Valkea talo (Ilkantie 4, 00400 Helsinki). The event language is English.
The 2026 State of World Population report, titled “Succeeding Generations – Young people’s future perspectives”, reflects the views of more than a hundred thousand young people from around the world.
Speakers at the event include Director of UNFPA’s External Relations Sam Choritz and Lauratuulia Lehtinen, Deputy Director General of the Department for Development Policy of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, as well as Sanna Puura from the Ministry of Education and Culture. We will hear young people’s reflections on the report during a panel discussion, where the topic will be explored from several different perspectives. The event will be hosted by Hanna Sarkkinen, MP and Vice chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual Rights and Development.
