EMentoring is peer-based group activity conducted online. It can be used, for example, in internal development programs, orientation, and to support remote or hybrid work. When implemented effectively, it strengthens interaction and workplace wellbeing.
Principles and models of Humak eMentoring
Humak’s mentoring emphasizes the principle of peer equality: participants are on an equal footing regardless of roles, which supports open knowledge sharing and collective learning.
- Mentor orientation – training for mentors: making personal expertise visible and developing a shared understanding of the online process
- Mentor groups – facilitated peer groups, particularly beneficial for small groups and those working remotely
- Themed peer meetings – for specialists and supervisors: structured sessions providing a shared forum for work-related topics
How eMentoring progresses?
- Needs assessment and goal setting
- Defining participants and roles
- Facilitated online sessions and tasks
- Summary and follow-up actions
