Expertise for the development of work communities

Work supervision and eMentoring are practical ways to support learning, collaboration, and change management within work communities. Humak has several experienced supervisors on its staff and strong expertise in designing and facilitating guidance-based processes.

When the goal is improved interaction, clearer direction in work, and shared learning, we build an effective process together.

Typical situations

  • change and high workload situations; clarifying work boundaries and roles
  • support for supervisors and specialists (coaching, reflection, and clarifying decision-making)
  • distributed teams: strengthening connection and sense of community
  • orientation, knowledge sharing, and making tacit knowledge visible

Work supervision

Work supervision involves examining and structuring questions related to work, the work community, the operating environment, and leadership with the guidance of a trained supervisor. The aim is to strengthen professional agency, clarify core responsibilities, and support wellbeing at work.

Service formats

  • Individual supervision – for supervisors and specialists (coaching, role clarity, workload, leadership)
  • Group supervision – for teams (collaboration, interaction, client work, ground rules)
  • Community supervision – organisation-level themes (change, structures, work direction)

eMentoring

EMentoring is peer-based group activity conducted online. It can be used, for example, in internal development programs, orientation, and to support remote or hybrid work. When implemented effectively, it strengthens interaction and workplace wellbeing.

Principles and models of Humak eMentoring

Humak’s mentoring emphasizes the principle of peer equality: participants are on an equal footing regardless of roles, which supports open knowledge sharing and collective learning.

  • Mentor orientation – training for mentors: making personal expertise visible and developing a shared understanding of the online process
  • Mentor groups – facilitated peer groups, particularly beneficial for small groups and those working remotely
  • Themed peer meetings – for specialists and supervisors: structured sessions providing a shared forum for work-related topics
