Humak Library is open to everyone. Most of the printed materials are available for loan to all registered library users. Electronic resources are available only to Humak students and staff and can be accessed using Humak Haka credentials.

Humak’s students
Humak students register as library users in the Tuudo app, where they can check and renew their loans. Printed materials can be borrowed with the Tuudo library card. The Tuudo app can be downloaded from your device’s app store.
Other customers
Anyone can register as a library user by booking an appointment in advance and visiting the nearest Humak campus library.
Registering as a customer
Contact the library by email at kirjasto@humak.fi to schedule a registration appointment at your chosen campus library.
Bring your ID card.
Humak Library does not issue its own library cards. Please bring a card with a barcode to which your library user status can be added. The best option is a library card from another library.
Please note that the following cannot be used as a library card:
- identity card
- driver’s license
- passport
- Kela card

Library Rules
By registering as a library user, a person agrees to comply with the library rules.
A library card is always required to borrow printed materials. Loans and returns are recorded in the library system. Slip loans are not accepted.
The user is responsible for borrowed materials and must compensate for any lost or damaged items.
When returning borrowed items, the user should place them in the designated return area and not reshelve them.
If a user requests a printed book from another campus library, the item is considered on loan to them from the moment of the request. The user will be notified by email when the book is ready for pickup.
When a loan is due, the item must be returned or renewed.
Loan Periods and Renewal
The loan period for printed materials is either 28 days or 14 days, and loans can be renewed up to 15 times. Reserved items cannot be renewed. Electronic resources are returned automatically at the end of the loan period.
Loans can be renewed and personal loan information checked in the Tuudo app or by logging in to Humak Finna. Loans can also be renewed by emailing kirjasto@humak.fi.
