Opening of the Academic Year 2026-2027

Welcome to celebrate the opening of the 2026–2027 academic year on Monday, September 7, 2026!

Watch the premiere broadcast from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Humak’s YouTube channel. The link to the broadcast will be published on Friday, September 4, 2026.

The program includes greetings from the President of Humak and Humak Student Union (Humako), musical performances, and a chance to meet Humak alumni Eva Louhivuori, Emmi Kähkönen, and Olja Värtö, who will share insights into their career paths. Eva will also be responsible for the music featured during the event.

The broadcast will be hosted by Senja Niskala and Savannah Dale.

A few viewing tips

The broadcast is bilingual (Finnish and English), and all videos are subtitled in advance. Therefore, you can safely turn off YouTube’s automatic captions.

The broadcast will be interpreted into Finnish Sign Language.
