PSP and study planning

With your personal study plan (PSP), you plan and schedule your studies and follow their progress. It is also possible to complete your studies flexibly and faster than the target schedule.

  2. Your studies

What is a PSP?

A PSP is your personal study plan. You create it at the beginning of your studies together with your PSP coach, and you update it throughout your studies.

With your PSP, you plan and schedule your studies and follow their progress. You can find your own PSP on the Student Desktop in Peppi. The PSP tool is also available to Open UAS students to support their study planning.

Your PSP coach follows the progress of your studies regularly. The status of your personal study plan is reviewed in discussions as part of the Career Planning course.

Helpful resources for creating your PSP:

Study progress

At Humak, study progress is based on the curriculum of your degree.

The website describes, for each degree, how studies are planned to progress. You can find your own timetable plan by selecting your starting academic year and finding your degree programme under it. The website shows how studies are planned to progress by academic year and semester. The timetable plans serve as a basis for creating your own PSP and scheduling your studies.

At Humak, it is also possible to complete your studies flexibly — even faster than the target schedule. Study progress is always planned individually, taking into account, for example, your prior learning and life situation.

Your PSP coach supports you in study planning

Your PSP coach supports you professionally throughout your studies. The tasks of the PSP coach include:

You draw up your PSP at the beginning of your studies together with your PSP coach and update it throughout your studies. The PSP helps you plan and schedule your studies and track your progress.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is carried out at the beginning of your studies together with your PSP coach. Read more about the RPL process by clicking below.

You are responsible for the progress of your studies. To graduate on time, you need to complete at least 60 credits per academic year. Your PSP coach monitors your progress regularly and will contact you if needed.

In group coaching, you get to know your professional field and your fellow students. In individual coaching, you focus on your own professional growth and future plans.

Your PSP coach helps you explore the professions and roles you can pursue with your degree. They support you in identifying your competences and development needs in relation to the demands of working life.

If needed, your PSP coach will direct you to the right service, for example a study counsellor or a healthcare professional. You can also contact these services directly yourself.

In addition to PSP coaching, you may also need other kinds of support with your studies, wellbeing or everyday matters.
