Open UAS Services

Studying at Humak
Students must register each year for the academic year as either present or absent. Registration for the academic year is done in Peppi between April 1 and July 31. Changes to the registration information for the spring semester can be made between November 15 and December 31.

If you decide to terminate your studies permanently before graduation, you must file a resignation notice.
Löydät lukujärjestyksen Lukkarikoneesta. Lisää lukkarikoneeseen oma saapumisryhmäsi ja lisää se kalenteriisi, jolloin näet lukujärjestyksesi. Löydät oman saapumisryhmäsi Pepistä.
You may have acquired competence through previous education, work, or leisure activities. As a degree student at Humak, you can apply to have this competence recognised as part of your studies. This process is called Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
RIPA-opintojen suorituksen jälkeen suoritusmerkintä siirtyy automaattisesti Humakille ja opiskelijan työpöydällesi ilman AHOT-menettelyä tai opintopolun linkin jakamista. Suoritusmerkinnän siirrossa esiintyy joskus pieni viive. Jos suoritus ei siirry lähiaikoina opintorekisteriisi otathan yhteyttä suorituksen antaneeseen korkeakouluun.
Valmistumiseen liittyy toimenpiteitä, joita opiskelijan tulee tehdä ennen kuin voi jättää todistushakemuksen sähköisen lomakkeen kautta. Voit tutustua valmistumisohjeisiin alla olevasta linkistä.
Username and Study ID
Your user account and study right are created after you have accepted your study place and completed your attendance registration for the academic year. You will receive a separate email with instructions for activating your user account.
Students must update their password regularly. If you are having trouble signing in, your password may have expired and need to be reset. For instructions and more information about user accounts and passwords, please visit the IT Support FAQ page.

Yhteistietojasi voit muuttaa Pepissä.
Jos esimerkiksi sukunimesi on muuttunut, ja haluat vaihtaa sähköpostiosoitteesi uuden sukunimen mukaiseksi, olethan yhteydessä IT-tukeen sähköpostitse support(at)humak.fi. Valitettavasti käyttäjätunnusta ei voi vaihtaa, vaan se pysyy samana koko opiskeluoikeutesi ajan.
Study Attainments and Certificates
You can download official certificates directly from Peppi. Student certificates and transcripts of records are automatically signed using a certificate from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency

You can order a copy of your Degree Diploma or Transcript of Records from Humak University of Applied Sciences after you have graduated or your study entitlement has ended in other ways. Please fill the this electronic form down below and follow the instructions given.
Studying at Humak’s Open UAS
Unfortunately no new registrations are processed after the registration period ends.
Studies must be completed according to the course timetable. If you do not have time to complete the course within the implementation period, and you want to finish the course, you must register and pay for the course again.
Please note: The study entitlement for path studies is for 1,5 years. If you need to postpone your course registrations within this period, for example to the following semester, please contact the Open UAS customer service at avoinamk@humak.fi.
Humak offers alumni the opportunity to study free of charge at Humak Open University of Applied Sciences for two years after graduation (graduation month). After this two-year period, alumni will be offered a 50 % discount on studies.
The unemployed, those laid off full-time and retired are entitled to a 50 % discount. Note! If you are planning your studies while you are unemployed, always contact first your employment services before registering for the studies.
Payment for the studies is made when registering. Paytrail is the payment service provider in the online store. Paytrail offers several options for payment.
The refund of study fee must be applied for submitting the form Refund of Humak Open UAS Study Fee. The form must be submitted after the study fee has been paid. Submit a certificate of unemployment or pension card as an attachment in the form. Your study fee will be refunded once your entitlement to the discount has been verified.
Humak offers discounts on nearly all open university studies to Humak alumni, as well as to unemployed people, those on full-time layoffs and pensioners. However, the discounts do not apply to path study packages or a few other specific study courses. You can check which study courses the discounts do not apply to in the Open University online store.

When you are a full-time student at Humak, you may be eligible for student grants, student loans, housing allowances or general housing allowances. As a full-time degree student, you can enjoy affordable Kela subsidized student meals at most student restaurants.
In addition to statutory accident insurance, Humak has taken out study trip travel insurance and internship insurance for its degree students. More information about insurances can be found in English in the Humak general Teams, in the Insurances folder.
The eligibility for HSL public transport student discount is connected to your municipality of residence and type of studies. For eligibility, you need to be a degree student who has a DVV registered permanent address in a municipality covered by HSL services, and you have a Finnish ID code.
For foreign exchange students, the Humak Student Services organize necessary HSL discount documents.
