Testimonials

Student Exchange

Student Exchange

Humak’s way of teaching and learning is not just theory, but also applying it to real life. This feels very authentic. I’ve also enjoyed the way teachers really want to learn from us students. Teachers include students, which affects the energy in the classroom. There were always open discussions and learning from others. In my opinion, this really improves overall inclusion.

My semester abroad was a very special experience, full of self-discovery and unique moments. Both at HUMAK and during my time in Helsinki in general, I met great people that I wouldn’t want to miss in my life and made intercultural friendships. Finland is a beautiful country to live in, full of incredible nature and beautiful places to visit. This time opened my mind to different perspectives and made me more adaptable and empathetic. I’m deeply grateful for the memories and connections I’ve made.

I had never been to Finland and didn’t really know what to expect. Now, I can see why Finland has been named the happiest country in the world so many times. There are many elements in the day-to-day life that support happiness. I hope to learn of the Finns’ way-of-life and take that adaptiveness with me.
