Spring 2026 second joint application
The second joint application includes only Finnish-taught degree programmes.
- Application period begins: Mar 10, 2026 at 08:00 (UTC+2)
- Application period ends: Mar 24, 2026 at 15:00 (UTC+2)
- The selection methods for UAS study options are certificate-based admission and the UAS entrance examination.
- For Master’s degree programme applications, the selection method is Humak’s own entrance assignment.

Autumn 2026 joint application
The autumn joint application includes only Finnish-taught degree programmes.
- Application period begins: Aug 31, 2026 at 08:00 (UTC+2)
- Application period ends: Sep 10, 2026 at 15:00 (UTC+2)
- In the autumn, Humak does not participate in the UAS entrance examination or use certificate-based admission. Instead, admissions are based on Humak’s own selection courses.
- Please check the application form on Studyinfo.fi to see whether you are required to submit any attachments.
- You will be informed of the admission results by 19 November 2026 at the latest.
- Please accept your study place by 26 November 2026 at 3:00 PM.
- Admission from the waiting list ends on 10 December 2026 at 3:00 PM.

Student selection methods used at Humak UAS
Humak UAS uses the following student selection methods are
International UAS Exam, SAT test and Certificate-based selection (Finnish Matriculation Examination, IB Dibloma, RP/DIA completed in Finland and vocational upper secondary qualification completed in Finland (after 1 August 2015)). Read more here.

Eligibility requirements for applying to a Bachelor’s degree at a University of Applied Sciences can be found here.
English language requirements
All applicants including native speakers of English, must demonstrate their language proficiency.
To be invited to the International UAS Exam and to be selected through this method, applicants must provide proof of English language skills either by an internationally recognized language test or previous studies. Similarly, applicants participating in certification-based selection must also demonstrate their English language skills.

Application Fee
Starting from Jan 1 2025, applicants from outside the EU, EAA or Switzerland are required to pay an application fee in order to apply to higher education studies. If you are from outside the aforementioned area and you are applying to Bachelor’s or Master’s level studies in Finland, you will need to pay the application fee. The application fee is 100 euros. The application fee dies not guarantee that you will be offered admission to studies.

Note! Humak does not collaborate with or receive assistance from student recruitment agencies.
You can apply for individual arrangements in the UAS entrance exam with a separate application.
Applications are submitted to the UAS where you have registered to take the entrance examination. The application must be accompanied by a copy of a certificate or statement (e.g. a medical certificate) showing the justification for the individual arrangements.
Documents submitted by the applicant will be kept at Humak University of Applied Sciences until the end of the appeal period for student decisions, after which the documents will be destroyed. All information provided by the applicant will be treated in the strictest confidence and will be accessed by persons designated by Humak’s applicant services for to their duties. The information will not be passed on to other universities or third parties.
Request for individual arrangements in the international UAS exam.
Studied in humanities and education, interpreter and community pedagogy include working with minors and various client groups, in which case ethical and client safety requirements are central. Studying and working in the profession requires adequate physical, mental and social functioning. Studies in our community educator degree programme focused on adventure and outdoor education require adequate physical and mental states for the activity-based nature of the studies. Suitability is assessed throughout the studies.
If you do not think that the student selection has been made in accordance with the selection criteria, first contact Humak’s admission services. The actual request for correction must be made within 14 days of the publication of the results of the student selection.

The results of the selection will be sent by e-mail. Students register for the academic year electronically.
If the applicant receives a place from reserves, this will also be announced by e-mail.
According to one study place per term provision, a student may accept only one offer admission to a study programme leading to a higher education degree in Finland that begins in the same academic term.
This rule applies to all higher education.
