Learn in-depth know-how and renew your way of leading, meeting and building communities.

In the Master Class education, we combine community education thinking, theories of organisational development and the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) framework into a unique module. It is a learning path that changes both your way of thinking and working.

Personnel training

Together with you, we will develop your community and improve the skills of the staff.

We will design and implement a study module tailored to your needs, which supports the wellbeing of employees, the development of skills and a communal culture.

We also offer education in entrepreneurship in creative industries, diversity and the experience economy. For example, active and nature-oriented pedagogy, adventure and outdoor education, and courses in the field of communication (plain language, sign supported speech) will deepen and expand your skills in the way you desire. With the studies, you can also promote your employment or strengthen your position in the labour market.

Recognition and accreditation of prior learning

Recognition and accreditation of your prior learning is a method of completing studies in the university of applied sciences, which we are developing together with our partners. You can accredit your prior learning if you have acquired it elsewhere than in university studies, such as in working life, volunteer activities or positions of trust. Accreditation of prior learning as a form of completing a course is possible when:

– the learning corresponds with the goals of the course
– you can combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills
– you can demonstrate how to apply the knowledge in practice

Prior learning can be accredited through an exam, a display of expertise in our courses or working community events, as written or multimedia portfolios or reports. The skills are assessed according to Humak’s assessment criteria.

Learn more about the open UAS offering

Open UAS courses are open to everyone wishing to improve themselves and their skills regardless of their age or previous qualifications. For those completing “Väylä” or path studies in a specific time, we guarantee admittance to a degree programme through a separate application procedure.
