Direct Application with SAT Results: Bachelor’s Degree in Adventure and Outdoor Education
Humak is organizing a separate application process for the Bachelor of Humanities, Community Educator, Outdoor and Adventure Education program.
The application period runs from January 23, 2025, to April 17, 2025. Please note that the application period may close earlier if all study places are filled.
We are excited to welcome new students to begin their studies in August 2025 at our Helsinki campus, surrounded by Finland’s unique natural environments.
About the Programme
This 210 ECTS Bachelor’s programme combines theoretical learning with practical activities like hiking, climbing, kayaking, and more. Students will develop pedagogical, technical, and communication skills, preparing them for careers in adventure education and community engagement.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are required to meet the general eligibility criteria and have completed the qualification granting eligibility by the time of application.
Eligible applicants must have completed one of the following:
- Finnish upper secondary school diploma or Matriculation Examination
- International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma
- European Baccalaureate (EB) diploma
- Reifeprüfung (RP) or Deutsches Internationales Abitur (DIA)
- Finnish vocational upper secondary qualification or equivalent
- Higher secondary school certificate completed outside Finland
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Please ensure you upload all required certificates to your application by the deadline. If your certificates are not in English, Finnish, or Swedish, include official translations.
Admission Based on SAT Results
Applicants must provide valid SAT test results, including:
- evidence-based reading and writing: Minimum score of 400.
- Mathematics: Minimum score of 400.
The admission process is based on SAT test results. A minimum score of 400 is required in both Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Mathematics sections.
Applicants must request an official SAT score report to be sent directly to Humak University of Applied Sciences (Humak UAS SAT code: 7189). Only the SAT results sent through the official test organizer’s electronic service will be accepted.
Application Fee
Starting from January 1, 2025, applicants from outside the EU, EEA, or Switzerland must pay a 100 euro application fee. The fee does not guarantee admission.
How to Apply
- Visit the Studyinfo.fi to fill out your application.
- Attach all required documents and submit your application.
Study places are limited (8) and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible applicants who meet all criteria.
Only applications that include all required educational attachments, a copy of a passport or ID card, and the necessary documents related to application and tuition fees, as well as proof of payment for the application fee if required, will be processed. SAT test results must also be available in the testing organization’s electronic system. Applications missing required documents or proof of application fee payment by the deadline will be rejected.
Submit your application only when you have all the required documents. Applications without the necessary attachments will not be processed.
