
Humak Master
At Humak, you can study for a Master’s degree as a cultural producer, interpreter, or community educator. We train professionals who strengthen communities and promote equality.
In Humak Master programmes, you can study for a Master’s degree in Community Development, Cultural Production Development, or Interpreting Development. The degree is equivalent to a university Master’s degree and enables further studies towards a doctoral degree. All Humak Master degrees are completed entirely online.

Flexible online studies
Studying in Humak Master is full-time, but the degree can be completed alongside work. Online teaching is organized on weekdays between 3–6 PM. Typically, there are about five teaching webinars per month.
Online community supports your learning
Humak is known for its high-quality online pedagogy. In online studies, peer learning and practical application take place in an active learning community consisting of professionals from our fields.
Study anywhere
Studies are organized entirely online, so your location doesn’t matter – you can even study from abroad.
Please note that degree students are required to have Finnish language level B1.
Flexibility in everyday life
Studies last 1–1.5 academic years, but you may be able to progress even faster. Studying is not tied to specific times except for webinars. There are about 5 webinars per month, organized on weekday afternoons and recorded for later viewing.
How to apply to Humak?
There are several routes to becoming a Humak student. The most common one is via joint application or rolling admission for international applicants.
You can also begin studies flexibly on Open UAS as path studies and become a student via a separate application round.
The official application portal is StudyInfo, which is used among all Finnish educational institutions.
