Student wellbeing
Wellbeing is built from many elements, and a good everyday student life is created together. At Humak, you have various forms of support and peers to turn to.
Wellbeing is built in everyday life
Studying is at its best inspiring, but can also bring strain. Wellbeing is built from your own choices and the support of the community. Below you’ll find information on student sports, the student community, and support during your studies.
Student sports and physical activity
Promoting an active study culture is important to Humak. A short break brings energy to the study day, and different networks offer many ways to make studying more active and physically engaging.
Your Humak community
A good everyday student life is created together. It requires both shared principles and concrete ways of meeting others. Here you’ll find information on different ways of building community, principles for a safer space, and the model for early intervention and addressing bullying.
Support during your studies
During your studies, support is available for many situations. Study mentors and tutor students offer peer support for everyday life, your study counsellor supports you in your studies, and you can get support for psychosocial wellbeing from the university chaplain, the student welfare officer, and FSHS.

How is student wellbeing developed at Humak?
Humak has a student wellbeing group whose task is to find solutions to development needs related to student wellbeing and thereby create better wellbeing services for Humak students.
The group consists of Humak’s study counsellors, the student welfare officer, and the Head of Educational Development, as well as representatives from FSHS and HUMAKO. The group meets twice per semester.
