Resignation from studies

If you decide to terminate your studies permanently before graduation, you must submit a notice of resignation. It’s recommended to discuss your resignation with your PSP coach before submitting the notice.

Resignation is binding. If you wish to continue your studies later, you may have to re-apply through a joint or separate application. Re-applying through joint application may be difficult as the joint application has quotas that favor first-time applicants. It may be a better option to complete a degree once it has been started.

If you have temporary challenges in your studies, it is advisable first to find out your chances of registering as absent for the academic year. Read more in the section “Absence during your studies”. Please keep in mind the possibility to apply for a discretionary extension if there is a valid reason your studies have not progressed.  

You can submit the notice of resignation via an electronic form below. Make sure your completed courses are evaluated and graded before submitting the form.

Your user ID for Humak’s systems will be deactivated once your resignation has been processed. We recommend that you save all necessary information before submitting your resignation.

The certificate of resignation and the transcript of records will be sent to the email address provided on the form. Kela will receive your resignation status automatically.
