Innovation through Gamification Solutions

We develop digital and gamified solutions through international cooperation to strengthen inclusion, communities, and innovation in sparsely populated

Empowering Digital Inclusion

The InnoGS project builds an international collaboration platform that brings stakeholders together to develop digital and gamified solutions tailored to the needs of sparsely populated and geographically challenging areas. These solutions support the strengthening of community cohesion, participation, and innovative development. The project shares knowledge on digital innovations and creates tested operating models that respond to local and regional challenges.

Key outcomes of the project include new models for inclusive physical and digital spaces, as well as community-oriented co-working solutions. In addition, digital tools are used for problem-solving, training materials are provided to strengthen organizations’ digital competences, and an international Digital Innovation District network platform is created to support ideation and collaboration.

The project is implemented in Finland, Sweden, Iceland, Ireland, and Greenland, focusing on sparsely populated and geographically challenging areas. These regions face challenges such as an ageing population, youth outmigration, and isolation, making digital solutions particularly important for strengthening local communities.

Digital solutions offer new opportunities to strengthen communities, increase participation, and attract professionals from the digital creative sector to these areas. InnoGS promotes regional technological competence and sustainable business development while improving residents’ quality of life. Humak contributes expertise in accessibility and participatory methods, focusing on how digital solutions can support the inclusion and equality of underrepresented groups and help build equitable operating environments.
