Equal well-being
We promote equal well-being by strengthening equality planning and expertise within well-being services counties.
Equal well-being concerns everyone
Research shows that social and healthcare personnel often have limited knowledge of equality and gender equality plans. Studies also indicate that LGBTQ+ youth frequently feel that professionals do not meet them as their authentic selves.
This project aims to enhance the ability of social and healthcare professionals to interact with young people belonging to gender and sexual minorities in a respectful and equal manner.
We provide training and coaching based on up-to-date knowledge, gender-sensitive methods, and the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ youth. In addition, we support wellbeing services counties in developing concrete, functional equality and gender equality plans. We create a clear operational model that makes it easier to implement these plans in practice – including communication aspects.
Humak’s responsibility in the project is to lead the co-creation of trainings for professionals together with equality experts and people with lived experience.
