PEDANETS – Supporting continuous learning and agency to promote equality
Supporting people by developing future-oriented guidance, pedagogical support, and networks.
Guidance that empowers individuals and fosters hope for the future
The PEDAVERKOT project strengthens the future outlook and competencies of people in a weaker labour market position by developing new, inclusive guidance and support models together with professionals and networks.
These objectives are advanced through seven pilot modules that strengthen the career guidance, future-oriented and diversity competencies of professionals working in guidance roles. In addition, the project’s learning coach supports guidance professionals in recognising and addressing learning difficulties and neuropsychiatric challenges.
The target groups of the PEDAVERKOT project are:
1) professionals working in guidance, counselling and education, and
2) individuals in the weakest labour market position.
The project is implemented in the regions of Uusimaa and Kanta-Häme.
The project promotes a holistic understanding of the possibilities for supporting the agency of people in a weaker labour market position through future-oriented pedagogical, participatory and functional approaches. Forms of guidance and support are co-developed and piloted together with professionals, organisations and experts by experience.
As a result of the project, a report will be produced on the targeting, development needs and opportunities of guidance services that promote individual agency and employment in the regions of Kanta-Häme and Uusimaa. In addition, the project will generate new networks and forms of network-based cooperation, as well as practical models, materials and experiential stories that can be more widely utilised in the guidance of people in a weaker position.
Objectives
The project has four main objectives:
1. The project increases knowledge on the targeting, development needs, and opportunities for guidance services that support individual agency and employability in the Kanta-Häme and Uusimaa regions.
2. The project identifies, utilizes, and develops new types of collaboration networks to support learning, guidance, and individual agency.
3. The project pilots various forms of activities to strengthen the future outlook and agency of those in a weaker position in the labor market. The pilots consider the networks and expertise of implementing parties.
4. The project enhances the pedagogical and methodological skills of guidance and teaching staff, as well as their capacity to guide and support individuals in weaker positions in the labor market.
