Research programmes

We make a societal impact far greater than our size.

Our research programmes emphasize experimental, multidisciplinary, and participatory approaches. Our applied research produces new and impactful knowledge for education, development, innovation, and decision-making.

We work closely with public and third sector actors and companies. Multidisciplinary partnerships are a natural and important part of our activities.

Our research programmes extend from the local and regional level to national and international activities and decision-making. Through practical research and experimentation, we aim to achieve broad social impact.

The phenomenon-based approach and cross-cutting themes of our programmes are a particular strength in our work. We support encounters, competence development, and solution ideation at the interfaces between different sectors – precisely where significant societal changes often take place and new, bold initiatives are born.
