The career monitoring survey for 2021 graduates has begun – have your say and make a difference!

The national career monitoring survey runs from 7 October to 9 November 2026. Everyone who completed a UAS Bachelor’s or UAS Master’s degree at Humak in 2021 will receive a personal survey link by email and text message on 7 October. If you haven’t responded yet, you’ll receive a reminder by text message on 20 October and by email on 29 October.

Why does your response matter?

Alumni understand the realities of working life and its skills needs better than anyone else. That’s why your experiences and feedback play a key role as we develop Humak’s degree programmes and career guidance for students.

In the survey, you’ll also tell us what further training you’ve taken since graduating and what skills you would need now. This gives us valuable insight into the changing skills needs of working life, which we draw on when developing new continuous learning courses. Your response may therefore also influence the kind of training Humak offers you in the future.

By responding, you help build future professionals’ skills and support the ongoing development of our whole university community. The survey results also affect Humak’s funding, and the Ministry of Education and Culture uses them to assess the quality of education at universities of applied sciences.

Humak will call you

We aim to reach all 2021 graduates by phone as well. We’re calling because we’re genuinely interested in how you’re doing, and we want to remind you how much your response matters.

Last autumn, a group of lecturers from different fields called our alumni, and the calls were warmly received. Alumni reminisced about their student days, especially the flexibility and practical focus of their studies, and many expressed a willingness to share their career stories with students or offer work placements.

Response rate record broken for the second year running

In autumn 2025, 208 Humak graduates from 2020 responded to the survey. The response rate was 63%, the highest among universities of applied sciences for the second year in a row and the best result in the survey’s history. The national average was 44%. Of the respondents:

• 87% are satisfied with their degree

• 83% feel they gained sufficient preparation for working life

• 88% are satisfied with their career as a whole.

Help us make this year a success too!

Didn’t receive the survey link?

If you can’t find the link in your email or text messages, here’s what to do:

1. Check your graduation year. This year, the survey is sent to those who completed a UAS Bachelor’s or UAS Master’s degree in 2021. If you graduated in a different year, you are not part of this autumn’s target group.

2. Check your spam folder. The message may have ended up there by mistake.

3. Update your contact details. If you can’t find the link, your contact details have probably changed. Update your email address and phone number in Humak’s alumni register. Your updated details will be passed on to the survey, so there’s no need to notify anyone else of the change.

4. Wait for the next reminder. You’ll receive the link with the next reminder message, either by text message on 20 October or by email on 29 October.

5. Still no link? If you graduated in 2021, updated your details in time and checked your spam folder but still can’t see the link, please contact alumni@humak.fi.
