After you have registered for Humak’s open UAS studies and your registration has been processed, you will receive an email regarding your log in credentials for Humak’s systems.

You can register your user ID for Humak’s Peppi and Canvas digital environments by logging in to the site via the Suomi.fi service, which requires you to use your Bank ID or mobile authentication. In order to proceed with your log in, you must accept the ICT terms of service, after which you will receive your user IDs and will be asked to set a password.

Please note that you will be able to activate your credentials only after the Open UAS Student Services have processed your registration.

If you experience problems, please contact avoinamk@humak.fi.

Note! Access rights to Humak’s online systems will expire within 30 days after the end of the study entitlement.

Open UAS students with a valid study entitlement have access to Microsoft Office 365 services, including a Humak Outlook mailbox. This mailbox is used for communication between lecturers and students.

Microsoft Teams is Humak’s platform for internal communication and collaboration. There is also the Avoin AMK channel, which is used to communicate matters concerning all Open University of Applied Sciences students. We recommend getting familiar with the channel, so you stay up to date with study-related announcements and current matters.

  1. Go to https://portal.office.com and log in using your Humak credentials in the format username@humak.fi. In the next window that opens, enter your password.
  2. Click the waffle menu in the top left corner of the Microsoft 365 service and find the application you need.

Please note that credentials will be removed and all data saved to the account will be deleted within 30 days of your study entitlement ending.

If you are planning on starting your studies in Open UAS as an unemployed jobseeker, please contact your local TE Services first to ensure you don’t lose your unemployment benefits.

If you need the TEM621 form from the Education Service Provider’s report on the studies planned for the TE Office, please contact avoinamk@humak.fi. More information at Job Market Finland.

Kela’s student benefits are not available for Open UAS students. As an Open UAS student, you are also not entitled to student discounts or a student card.

If you need a certificate or a plan about being a full-time student at the Open UAS, you must fill out this form (in Finnish only), then get it accepted by the member of staff in charge of the studies.

Please note that you can still join Humak’s student union HUMAKO as an Open UAS student.

Study certificates and transcripts are automatically signed using the Digital and Population Data Services Agency certificate, so you can download the official certificates from Peppi yourself. The electronic signature introduced by the digital certificate is equivalent to a hand-signed signature throughout the European Union.

Possible contact teaching and webinar schedules can be found in the online store under “Study realizations” as well as on the online learning platform Canvas.

If you are studying in the Path Studies, we recommend getting familiar with “Lukkarikone”, the online timetable platform, where you can find search timetables based on your study modules. You can find your group ID in Peppi.
