An Alumnus is our student’s best mentor
What is mentoring?
Pair mentoring: a Humak alumnus or alumna (mentor) supports a student who is nearing graduation (mentee).
Mentoring period
A joint kick-off event, followed by agreed pair meetings during the programme period.
Easy to take part in
Joint online meetings for all participants, plus meetings between the mentor and mentee arranged in a way that suits you best (online or inperson).
Are you interested in mentoring? Would you like to share your working life experience with Humak students who are about to graduate? On this page, you can find more information about mentoring and register your interest.
The Humentor programme
Students in the final stage of their studies can apply to take part in the Humentor programme as mentees. Pair mentoring supports growth into a new professional role, helps clarify goals and strengthens professional identity through dialogue.

Who can act as a mentor?
We primarily recruit mentors from among Humak alumni. Pedagogical professionals who have worked in Humak’s education or projects may also act as mentors. There is no single “minimum requirement” for the amount of work experience – what matters most is commitment and a genuine willingness to engage with the mentee. Meetings can be held online or face to face.

Humentor also offers a fresh perspective for employers
Mentoring develops coaching and interaction skills, brings fresh insights into the organisation and can also support recruitment and employer branding. Confidential dialogue creates understanding that cannot be achieved through surveys alone.
