GameON – Resources for attachment to working life and society

We are developing gaming activities in Kuopio to enhance work-life readiness.

One Level at a Time Towards Employment – GameON

The GameON project implements game-based activities in North Savo to improve the employment prospects and well-being of unemployed individuals. The target group consists of individuals aged 16–54 who are interested in gaming and are currently outside of employment or education.

The primary goal is to support the employability and well-being of young people and adults through both individual coaching and group activities. The content focuses on different aspects of gaming and strengthening digital skills. The project helps participants discover new paths toward employment and education, enhances their digital skills, and promotes social well-being.

Humak’s role in the project is to design and develop socially empowering game-based activities. Humak brings expertise in game education, supporting agency and inclusion, and developing group-based methodologies.

Project Objectives

1. Supporting participants in finding new pathways to employment and education, and strengthening their digital competence.

2. Strengthening participants’ social skills and functional capacity by bringing together individuals interested in gaming through both online and face-to-face gaming activities. This includes practicing teamwork and interaction with others.

3. Helping participants identify their abilities and skills that can be utilized in professional life.

4. Guiding the target group toward active participation in education and the workforce during the project.
