Yhteisöpedagogitutkintojen alakohtaisen yhteistyön tiivistäminen – kolmen korkeakoulun malli
We develop community education resource-efficiently by combining the expertise of our programmes and responding to changing work-life needs.
Stronger together – profiling for the future
The number of people with higher education in Finland has grown at the slowest rate among OECD countries, and the goal is to increase the percentage of young adults with higher education in Finland to close to 50 percent by 2030. In this situation, it is important to develop education to better meet the needs of working life.
Humak, Centria, and Xamk are strengthening their cooperation to further develop community education. The four-year cooperation project aims to develop resource-efficient cooperation and strengthen the quality and effectiveness of community pedagogy education. The aim is to identify the specific expertise of each higher education institution, build more flexible cooperation structures, and better respond to the changing skills needs of working life. The aim is to make the specific expertise of each higher education institution in community pedagogy training more widely available to students. Quality will also be developed by sharing good practices and intensifying teaching cooperation through various experiments.
Our goal is also to increase awareness of the community education degree and the skills it provides in working life. Community educators work in a variety of expert, training, and guidance roles in the fields of youth work, organizational work, and workplace development, as well as in the social and health sectors. Our goal is to ensure that the broad expertise of community educators is recognized and utilized more strongly in sectors where communities and their development are central.
