Humak to Discuss the Future of European Innovation at Dutch Design Week

More than three years of policy work have resulted in five recommendations for strengthening innovation systems across Europe. On 23 October 2026, the ekip project will bring partners and stakeholders together in Eindhoven to discuss how these recommendations can be put into practice and how the creative sector can become an integral part of innovation.

Five recommendations for stronger innovation systems

Through the ekip project, partners have spent more than three years exploring policy challenges, working with ecosystems across Europe and developing recommendations for stronger, more connected innovation systems.

At the event From Policy to Action, five ekip partners will present the thinking behind each recommendation, share what they have learned along the way and discuss what the recommendations could mean in practice.

Among the speakers is Humak’s ekip Project Manager Marcin Poprawski. He will be joined by Michalis Stangos from Mscomm Integrated Communications Agency, Lena Holmberg from Lund University, Katarina Scott from Future by Lund and Ragnar Siil from Creativity Lab.

Europe has the pieces. Now we connect them.

Marcin Poprawarski works as a Humak’s Project Manager in ekip project.

From recommendations to implementation

Following the presentations, the event will open the discussion to policymakers, cities and regions, universities, sector organisations, creative businesses and the ekip community. Participants will be invited to challenge the recommendations, share their experience and discuss what implementation could look like across Europe.

The event will take place as part of Dutch Design Week.
