Humak operates in four different areas – Helsinki Metropolitan Area (Helsinki, Kauniainen, Nurmijärvi), Turku, Jyväskylä and Kuopio. You can study the following degrees (in parentheses):
The Rector’s office with its study office services and applicant services are located at Ilkantie 4 in Helsinki. Administrative and Financial Services, as well as the boards of the university of applied sciences and the administrator, also operate there. The HUMAKO student council office is also located on Ilkantie.
The Helsinki Metropolitan Area campuses are located in Nurmijärvi (community educator) and Kauniainen (cultural management). The area’s RDI centre is located in Helsinki (interpreting, community education, work community development and master’s degrees). Helsinki RDI centre is located in Haaga, just over half an hour from the centre of Helsinki. The spacious premises in Valkea Talo offer library and food services. Kauniainen is in the middle of Espoo and close to the cultural services of the Helsinki metropolitan area. It is about an hour to Helsinki. The idyllic, nature-friendly campus has modern teaching facilities, a library, leisure facilities, a dormitory and cafeterias. Nurmijärvi is located in Kiljava, just over an hour from Helsinki. The area has food services, classrooms, leisure facilities and a dormitory. The peaceful and close to nature environment of the campus, which is located by the lake, is also suitable for adventure education and nature hiking.
Jyväskylä (community educator and cultural manager).
The Jyväskylä campus offers new teaching and administrative facilities by the lake in Korpilahti, about 30 kilometers from Jyväskylä and about 120 kilometers from Tampere. The campus also has a cafeteria, apartments and a natural setting for free time activities.
Kuopio (community educator and interpreter)
The Kuopio campus is located in Hiltulanlahti, about 12 km south of Kuopio city centre. Surrounded by nature and lakes the campus offers facilities and services for study, dining and accommodation.
Turku (community educator and cultural manager)
The Turku campus is located on the island of Kakskerta in Harjattula. For students, the area offers spacious outdoor facilities, educational, food and accommodation services.
