Quality work is part of everyday task for each one of us

Yksitoista iloista piirrettyä hahmoa on sulloutunut sateelta suojaan saman sateenvarjon alle.

At the Humak University of Applied Sciences, quality means consistently doing the right things at the right time and in an impactful way. Everyone at Humak is responsible for maintaining quality in their own actions.

The principles of Humak’s quality policy include:

  • Our operations are guided by Humak’s strategy, vision, mission, and values.
  • Our operations are based on goals set for each agreement period with the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland and defined in the annual Economic and Operational Plan.
  • The aim of our quality work is to produce high-quality degrees, continous learning education products that renew the working life, RDI-activities serving our fields of expertise, and societal impact both nationally and internationally.
  • Our quality and management system is based on the continuous improvement cycle (PDCA model): plan, do, check, and act.
  • We promote quality work through a culture of collective development, which is implemented through transparency, inclusivity, and opportunities for participation.
  • At the core of our quality work are our staff, students, and stakeholders from the working life.
  • Quality management and quality work are integral parts of everyday task for each one of us.

The goals of Humak’s quality and management system are to:

  • Produce systematic information for the development of operations and their quality, as well as for the leadership support.
  • Develop procedures and practices for quality management.
  • Strengthen Humak’s culture of quality and operations and support sharing best practices.
