Ukrainian degree students who have arrived in Finland are also given the opportunity to apply for admission to Humak’s bachelor’s degree programme in adventure and outdoor education, with a separate right to study without tuition fees. See the more detailed description below.

Separate study right, without tuition fee

Humak offers separate study rights for maximum 5 students at the degree programme in adventure and outdoor education. The separate study right may be granted to students who have an existing, valid right to study at a Ukrainian university, and whose studies have been discontinued due to the war in Ukraine.

Decision of the separate right to study will be made on the basis of the applications. While the separate study right entitles students to complete individual study units, students may later apply for degree studies at Humak.

If you have good command of English (both written and oral), and earlier studies in the fields of youth, community, NGO, social work, education, or leisure and sports studies, you have the sufficient background to apply for the separate study right at this programme.

Examples of courses offered to students with separate study right, during the academic year 2022-2023 are,

  • Community education as a profession 5 ECTS
  • Coaching-based approach 5 ECTS
  • Entrepreneurship 5 ECTS
  • Basics of Business Management 5 ECTS
  • Finnish language 1 5ECTS
  • English language and communication 5 ECTS
  • Leadership in adventure education 10 ECTS

If your background fits the description above, and you are interested in applying for a separate study right at Humak, please contact Team Leader Tero Lämsä, tero.lamsa@humak.fi. The content of the study path will be designed based on the students’ background.
