Applying to Study Adventure Education – What Should You Know? – Application Period Starts 5.1.
The first joint application of spring 2022 begins Wednesday 5.1. (8:00) and ends 19.1. (15:00). On this application period, you can apply to our English-language Bachelor’s degree in Adventure and Outdoor Education. This degree is a community educator degree with an adventure educational twist. The studies will be organised on our beautiful Nurmijärvi campus.
The application is done on Studyinfo. All the programmes you can apply to in the first joint application period and their application instructions are depicted on Studyinfo.
Filling in Your Application on Studyinfo – Be Mindful of Deadlines
The application form activates on 5.1.2022 at 08.00 and closes on 19.1.2022 15.00. Do remember to save your application in time before the end of the application period, late admissions will not be accepted. Any attachments should be sent by 15.00 on 26.1.2022.
In the first joint application of spring 2022 you can apply to six different programmes. No prioritization will be in use in the first joint application meaning that it does not matter in which order you put the study programmes on your application form. You can be accepted in multiple study programmes and choose which study right to accept. Read more about the admission process here.
In the Community Educator (Bachelor of Humanities) Adventure and Outdoor Education Programme, no quota for first-time applicants or discretionary choice is used. In order to be accepted to the programme you must be an eligible applicant, meaning you must meet the requirements depicted on Studyinfo. Bachelor of Humanities, Community Educator, Outdoor and Adventure Education – Students Will Be Chosen With an International UAS Exam
We are using the new International UAS Exam in our admissions process. The exam has two parts and it is done on your own computer remotely.
The first phase is a written exam organised on 9.2.2022 at 12.00 Finnish time (UTC +2). You must complete the sections reasoning skills, English language, and ethical skills in the examination. See the sections and their scoring down below on ‘Humanities and Education’.
If you are also applying to other study programmes using the same admissions method, you may have to complete other question sections as well. The sections are dictated by the field you are applying to.
The second phase of the examination is a group interview mostly to assess your English-language skills. It is organised 2.-16.3.2022.
All eligible applicants who have passed the first phase will be invited for the group interview. The second phase, the group interview, is the same for everyone no matter the study programme you are applying to. Read more about the admission methods.
The Results of Student Admission Will be Published by 1.4.2022
The results of the International UAS Exam will be published on Studyinfo by 1.4.2022.
If you are offered a study right, you must accept it by 15.7.2022 15.00. Applicants on the waiting list can be offered a study right until 2.8.2022 15.00.
There are 20 study places available for this English-language community educator training. The studies begin in September 2022 on Humak’s Nurmijärvi campus. The studies include field trips in Finland and abroad.
